SMILE STEALERS [in production 2009]
Smile stealers will be a live action animation short film. It will combine analogue special effects and overhead projection/animation with digital video and after effects animation. Made in colloboration with PARLOR TREATS.

I am using an interview with Daniel Dennet, a philosopher and author of Darwin's Dangerous Idea. I was fortunate to have met Daniel Dennet at the World Conference of Evolution on the Galapagos Islands in 2005. This video uses rotoscoping animation over the video image, mixed with other animations I have made in flash. All compiled in After Effects.
Finding Land is an animated short using my drawings, paper cut outs and japanese paper, which are scanned at high resolution, fixed in photoshop and imported into After Effects. All elements are computer animated in After Effects, using lighting and camera motion. The soundtrack was recorded directly into my computer mic via quicktime record.
